Do restaurants in Spain have to record working hours?

Yes. Since 2019 every employer in Spain must keep a daily record of working hours, including for extra and seasonal staff, and keep it for four years.

What about weekend extras?

You add them like anyone else and they clock in the same way; they only count towards the price in the months they’re active.

Is recording working time mandatory?

In Spain, yes. A daily record of working time has been mandatory since 2019 and must be kept for four years.

Do I need to buy a device?

No. Each person’s phone, any tablet as a kiosk or the computer will do.
